Following a tender competition UTS have just completed the installation of 42 Flowbird STRADA Evo Meters in Carlow Town.

In line with the rising popularity of cashless the new Meters accept Coin and contactless payments.

The meters are networked to the UTS SmartFolio® Meter Management System enabling Council Staff to receive information in real time. As soon as a coin collection takes place the information is sent to the SmartFolio® MMS so The Council have the collection data immediately.

This is an exciting opportunity for UTS to showcase their newest generation of meter – the STRADA Evo III which includes the latest in terms of mechanical security and technical reliability.

The project included the removal and disposal of the old meters. The civil works, signage and bollards was carried out by our sub-contractor – AGK Displays Ltd. based in Carlow. The entire project was completed in 2 weeks just in time for the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.
